My hope is to share the new world I am seeing while living in China through essays and pictures. This is a journey with the occasional turning back and reflecting. The title of this blog comes from my name translated from Norwegian, which seemed a fitting name for what I want to do.

Checklist
I'm leaving tomorrow morning. All the paperwork is done. There is a thunderstorm so Mom's afraid that the power will go out before I print everything out.
Ben... you don't know how many times Philly has said, 'We might be a candidate for the Olympics!' It never happens. Our shining international moment was when the World's Fair was held there in the 1800s. Oklahoma, welcome to our world of never ending disapointments. We've been waiting for you.
